Nepal Pestalozzi Foundation (NPF), formerly known as PAHAD Association (Estd. 2000) is a not-for-profit organization established in 2013 through registration with the Ministry of Home Affairs Government of Nepal. NPF received an Article of Incorporation from the Ministry of Social Welfare (Social Welfare Council) on Jan 8, 2014. This organization has been established in the name of Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, Swiss social reformer and educator. NPF promotes the educational principles developed by J H Pestalozzi, including ‘Head’, ‘Heart’ and ‘Hands’ and promote the education of poor.
The NPF depends entirely on public contributions and sponsorship to carry out its work. Being a registered charitable organization, all donations are eligible for income-tax exemption under the Income tax provisions. NPF is also registered under Social Welfare Council (SWC) of Nepal to enable it to receive donation from abroad.
